This year has been anything but normal! The Covid Pandemic has presented many opportunities and challenges for Second Cycle.
I am asking for your help with both. By December 31, we need to close a $25,000 fundraising gap created by the unfortunate but necessary cancellation of our 2nd Annual Bike Stories fundraising event.
On Giving Tuesday (December 1), we will be launching this video with some very special news about the expansion of the bike shop into an additional 2500 sq. ft. right next door to our current location. The new space will be used to expand programs for both youth and adults when it is safe to do so; and, it will double our capacity for bike donations so we can put more butts on bikes for years to come.
Our fundraising efforts will continue for the rest of December. The campaign, called So Much More Than Bikes, will feature weekly Bike Stories of Second Cycle’s impact beyond the bike.
I am asking for you to help us raise $25,000 by December 31 by signing-up as a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) fundraiser:
If you're unable to participate as P2P fundraiser, we'd still love your help! You can make a one time donation to the campaign here, and help spread the word about Giving Tuesday and Bike Stories on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets by linking to our campaign so much more than bikes! and including the hashtags #2ndCycle #SoMuchMoreThanBikes.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please let me know!
