Step Back in Time with 2nd Cycle's Annual Gala: Bike Stories – Pedal Through the Ages!
We're excited to invite you to this year's Bike Stories, 2nd Cycle's annual gala, set to take place at the historic Tacoma Armory on October 5th. Our theme, "Pedal Through the Ages," promises an evening full of nostalgia, creativity, and community as we celebrate the rich and diverse history of cycling.
A Bike Fashion Show for the Ages
This year, we will be having a Bike Fashion Show and it will take you on a journey through time. The show, running from 6:30-7:15 PM, will feature bikes and clothing from various decades, highlighting how cycling style has evolved with each generation. From the penny-farthings and tweed of the late 19th century to the sleek, aerodynamic designs of the modern era, each era will be brought to life on stage. Whether you're a history buff or just love a good fashion show, this segment will be a highlight of the evening.
Storytelling with a Twist
Following the fashion show, our storytelling segment will continue the theme of "Pedal Through the Ages." This year, our storytellers will weave tales that reflect the evolving culture of cycling, sharing personal experiences that connect to the decades we’ve highlighted in the fashion show. Whether these stories are funny, inspiring, or poignant, they will all contribute to a rich tapestry of cycling history.
