Pedal into Spring: Exciting Bike Month Events at 2nd Cycle!

Spring has sprung, and with it comes a flurry of exciting bike events to celebrate the joy of cycling in Tacoma! 2nd Cycle is thrilled to be a part of Bike Month, and we've lined up an array of events that promise fun, community, and plenty of two-wheeled adventures. Let's dive into what's in store:

1. Bike Swap Extravaganza:

Kicking off Bike Month with a bang, join us this Saturday at the Bike Swap! With a new location and a stellar lineup of vendors, this event is a must-attend for all cycling enthusiasts. Get ready to snag great deals, discover new gear, and mingle with fellow riders. Don't miss out on the chance to score some fantastic finds!




2. Mini Kidical Mass Ride:

Join Jamie Ballon Biker and 2nd Cycle for a delightful Mini Kidical Mass Ride. Bring the whole family for a leisurely pedal through Tacoma's scenic streets. It's a fantastic way to introduce kids to the joy of cycling and explore our beautiful city together.



3. Bike 101 for College Students:

Calling all college students! Gear up for our Bike 101 class tailored just for you. Whether you're a biking novice or looking to brush up on your skills, this session is perfect for riders of all levels. And don't worry, if you're not a college student, we've got another Bike 101 class coming up in June just for you!



4. Fem, Trans, Women Open House Night:

Join us for a special open house night dedicated to Fem, Trans, and Women cyclists. Hear inspiring stories from fellow riders and share your ideas on how we can continue spreading the joy of biking in our community. It's a night of empowerment, connection, and celebration of women in cycling.



5. Velofemmes go to the movies

Velofemmes are happy to present movie night at The Grand. Arrive at 7pm and purchase some snacks and/or beverages and head down to the lower lobby to socialize and secure your seat(s). Movie starts at 7:30. Around 845, after the films, we will regroup in the lower lobby for a panel discussion. This event is free and we would like to thank Downtown on the Go, 2nd Cycle and The Grand for making it possible. Free inside bicycle parking is always available at The Grand. Please mark you are going to secure a seat.



5. Intro to Bike Polo:

Curious about bike polo? Here's your chance to give it a spin! Join us for an introductory session where you can learn the basics of this exhilarating sport. With TUPAC's parking lot at our disposal, get ready for an afternoon of friendly competition and pedal-powered fun.



6. Destiny Dozen Hill Challenge:

Get ready to conquer Tacoma's most epic hills at the Destiny Dozen Hill Challenge! Whether you're a seasoned rider or tackling these hills for the first time, it's bound to be an unforgettable experience. Sign up now and prepare for an adrenaline-fueled adventure.



7. Friday Fiddy Social Fun Ride:

Introducing our inaugural Friday Fiddy ride! Join us bi-weekly throughout the summer for a laid-back social ride around Tacoma. It's the perfect way to unwind, connect with fellow cyclists, and explore new routes. Stay tuned for more details!

8. MOB Roll Music on Bikes Show:

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening of music and bikes at our MOB Roll Music on Bikes Show! Join us in our garage for a unique performance that combines pedal power and musical talent. More details coming soon, so stay tuned!
